The book takes place in 1912 in Seattle, Washington. A little farmhouse resting on the shore of Lake Union harbors a treasure unlike any other. What was thought to be an heirloom egg was a dragon's egg. The dragon hatches and becomes best friends with the farmer's little girl, Lilly. The book illustrates the friendship and the challenge of keeping such a mythical surprise a secret!
